Talks for The Farm, a spin-off of NBC staple The Office, ended about as soon as they started.
The proposed series would have featured “Dwight Schrute” on his farm with his eccentric, extended family.
Rainn Wilson, who plays “Schrute,” made the announcement on Twitter on Monday.
The possibility of featuring the pilot of the spin-off as an episode during the current and final season of The Office is still pending.
