No one in the New York area is immune to Hurricane Sandy’s turbulence, including broadcast television.

Production was affected on several television shows, including Gossip Girl, Smash and 666 Park Avenue, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Colbert Report cancelled Monday broadcasts as Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman taped their talk shows without a live audience.

Forty Broadway theaters will be dark through Tuesday.
