Oklahoma Senate approves pro-life bill

By Nathan Hatcher, Layout Editor

The Personhood Act passed in Senate by a 34-8 vote, claiming that human life begins at the moment of conception.

The bill is merely a statement that Oklahoma is “pro-life,” said Sen. Brian Crain, the bill’s author.

“The people of Oklahoma are pro-life, and with their support the Oklahoma bill can end the senseless destruction of human life,” said Keith Mason, president of Personhood USA. “We expect the Oklahoma Personhood Act to pass without amendments and receive the support of every pro-life legislator in the House.”
