House votes to cut $60 billion

The House voted Saturday, Feb. 16 to make $60 billion in budget cuts. Areas of decreased funding include domestic programs, foreign aid and some military projects, according to New York Times.

The proposal passed by a vote of 235 to 189, nytimes.com reports.
