University to close at 7:30 p.m. today, Wednesday

The university will close at 7:30 p.m. today, Jan. 8. Classes for Jan. 9 also will be canceled.

Interim Provost Susan Barber said officials decided to close the university due to anticipated inclement weather.

“The storm is supposed to start at 6 o’clock and sleet and snow are supposed to be on the ground at  9 p.m.,” she said.

Barber said she notified deans to work with faculty to accommodate students regarding school work.
